Demonstrating the value a
trained home care worker
brings to health care systems

In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) home care providers play a critical role in health care by ensuring that low-income seniors and people with disabilities receiving MediCal benefits can be cared for in their homes.

A UCSF study of CLTCEC’s innovative training for IHSS providers found that our training is associated with both better care and reductions in costly emergency rooms visits and hospitalizations. (UCSF 2016)
